UM6P welcomed CEO of UK Export Finance for discussions on energy and sustainability

On the 10^th of April, Mr. Tim Reid, CEO of UK Export Finance (UKEF), accompanied by his Excellency Simon Martin, UK’s Ambassador to Morocco, visited University Mohammed VI Polytechnic at its Campus in Benguerir for a series of discussions centered on energy and sustainability.

During the visit, Mr. Reid met with representatives from various UM6P entities working on renewable energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development. The exchanges focused on exploring financing mechanisms to support innovation-driven projects, as well as identifying possible areas for collaboration between UM6P and UKEF in Morocco and across the African continent.

As the UK’s export credit agency, UKEF provides financial support to UK exporters through guarantees, insurance, and funding, and is seeking to expand its engagement in projects aligned with sustainable development goals.
