Environmental data and AI in focus during UM6P’s contribution to Clean Beaches workshop

On the 4th of June, UM6P participated in the national Clean Beaches workshop at Hassan II International Center for Environmental Training.

Pr. Mounir Ghogho, Full Professor at the College of Computing, presented AI solutions for environmental initiatives using UM6P's artificial intelligence institute as a reference for these applications. The session covered AI tools for beach monitoring, including waste recognition systems and visitor flow analysis. The event addressed methods to enhance the value of environmental data collected through existing monitoring systems. The participants also discussed leveraging AI to enhance existing environmental data and engage youth through technology.
