UM6P footprint expands to Errachidia via an experimental and pedagogic farm

UM6P has launched this week it new experimental farm in the Boudnib area, within the Errachidia Province. An initiative led by the College of Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, via the Agricultural Innovation and Technology Center.

The project aims to providing a research environment for agricultural scientists to develop new methods in raising palm trees adapted to diverse climates, particularly arid and semi-arid regions. Equipped with modern technologies and advanced tools, Boudnib farm enables the monitoring of crop development, including cereals, fruit trees, and various seasonal crops.

In parallel to this launch, a meeting was held with the Wali of the Draa-Tafilalet region M. Essaid Zniber. Discussions addressed regional development opportunities related to research, education, and support for the local economic and social ecosystems.
