 UM6P and OFPPT join forces for the development of vocational training in the Rhamna region

Within the framework of the structuring programs of the new Roadmap for the development of vocational training, Mrs. Loubna TRICHA, Director General of OFPPT and Mr. Hicham EL HABTI, President of the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), have sealed, on February 17, 2021 in Benguerir, two partnership agreements on projects tailored to the needs of the job market at the national level, including support for the Cities of Trades and Skills.

In order to support the restructuring of its training offer and its positioning in innovative and promising sectors, the OFPPT has signed a partnership agreement with UM6P for the development of a new training offer dedicated to the Digital & Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Health, Agriculture, Tourism and Renewable Energies.

This partnership also covers the development of new innovative learning approaches, in particular Digital Learning, with the establishment of a Digital Learning Lab, the digitization of educational content and the creation of innovative educational spaces (innovation spaces, digital factory, business incubator, media library, etc.).

Aware of the importance of entrepreneurship as an essential skill for young people, the OFPPT relies on the expertise of UM6P, through a specific agreement for the design and deployment of an Entrepreneurial Innovation Programme (PIE).

The Entrepreneurial Innovation Program has been designed around a complementary device allowing learners to follow training courses (both face-to-face and virtual), workshops, meetings with female entrepreneurs and immersion experiences promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and specific entrepreneurial skills ;

The IEP goes beyond the individual theoretical and classical learning approach, collective team learning, to allow learners to live a real experience of Learning By Doing, thus facilitating a personal and professional opening that is rewarding for them.

More broadly, the PIE aims to bring the learner to be an actor, to be an entrepreneur in his life and to bring solutions in the face of difficulties, serving the needs of a client, a manager or the company, through 03 steps: awareness and acculturation, deepening of fundamentals and tools and the immersion studio.

This program will be deployed in the regions of Souss Massa, Oriental and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, where the first CMCs will start up in 2021-2022, in addition to the city of Benguérir.

Thus, these new partnerships will accompany OFPPT in its transformation and change management phase and will create real synergies in the face of the challenges of restructuring Vocational Training in Morocco.
