Climate resilience and land use planning discussed during ACFP workshop in Zimbabwe
From the 10th to the 11th of April, the Africa Carbon Flagship Programme (ACFP), led by the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences in partnership with the OCP Foundation, held a co-design workshop in Harare, Zimbabwe, in collaboration with the Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (MUAST) and local stakeholders.
The workshop focused on the collaborative development of a climate resilience initiative in Zimbabwe’s AFOLU sector (Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use). It forms part of ACFP’s broader mission to co-develop solutions anchored in local contexts and informed by community priorities.
Over two days, participants identified key challenges, knowledge gaps, and opportunities, while jointly shaping the project’s objectives, expected results, and performance indicators. A project advisory committee was also established to support the initiative’s implementation.
