Summer school strengthened expertise in remote sensing for soil moisture analysis
From the 8th to the 10th of September, the Center for Remote Sensing Applications, in collaboration with the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment, organized a summer school at UM6P Campus in Benguerir.
Held within the framework of the ESA EO Africa THESM project, the program focused on methods for estimating soil moisture in agricultural areas using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data. The sessions emphasized the application of remote sensing for advanced agricultural monitoring and reinforced European-Moroccan cooperation in Earth Observation.
The summer school facilitated knowledge exchange and provided specialized training to strengthen participant expertise in continental surface monitoring.
