Inclusive governance dialogue explored paths to resilient political systems

On the 10^th of September, the Policy Center for the New South hosted a roundtable with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) on the theme “The Path of Africa to Democracy” at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, Campus in Rabat.

The session explored democratic trajectories across the continent, focusing on the role of elections, institutional challenges, and youth engagement. Discussions emphasized opportunities to strengthen inclusive and resilient governance systems.

The event also marked the formalization of a collaboration between UM6P and International IDEA through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to advance joint research, policy dialogue, and capacity-building initiatives in governance and democracy support.
